The holiday season is in full gear, another year is running out and it’s time to take stock of 2014.
2014 was an exciting year for us at Queue-it. Among other things, we took in several new employees, we reached half a billion users who accessed our online queue system and we welcomed many new customers from all parts of the world.
One of our busiest times of the year was November through the beginning of December, when traditional online shopping days peaked in different parts of the world. For instance, Black Friday overtook Cyber Monday as a peak online shopping day in the U.K. this year, when actual visits to retail websites reached an estimated 181 million, resulting in an overall spend of £810 million. In the U.S., Black Friday grew 26 percent compared to last year, and Cyber Monday broke $2 billion in sales that resulted in a 17 percent increase compared to 2013.
We are also very proud to have received excellent feedback from our customers throughout the year. Mostly, they are excited about our queue system as it creates a fair and transparent user journey that provides a great customer experience. However, another – equally important – aspect of the solution highlighted by our customers is that it maximizes their revenue during peak web traffic situations.
Our ambition is to become the primary global platform for online queuing and to create a win-win situation for transactional websites and their end-users. We still feel and believe that our goal is within reach and we look forward to getting even closer in 2015. We realize that our goal is ambitious, but we will continue to work hard to reach it.
From all of us at Queue-it, to all of you, we wish you a joyful holiday season and a happy new year. We are ready for new adventures at Queue-it in 2015, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our blog in the new year.
